Our Moms

Since Singleton Moms has started, we have assisted 19 Parents and 47 children. This is something we all can be very proud of! And the numbers are only going up, we now have a waiting list of mothers who need our help. Your financial contributions, no matter the size allow us to continue our work and to have a one on one relationship with all of our moms. They can call us whenever they have a need and we will always try and find a way to meet it. Here are a few of the moms we are helping.

Suzanne is 45 and takes care of her 5 year old son and 19 year old daughter. She was recently diagnosed and is still adjusting to cancer treatment. She stays positive working with her daughter at her hair salon. Please if you live near Indian School Rd. & Miller visit Ignite Hair Salon in the Fry’s Plaza.

Rosa, 30, has 4 children and goes to Chemotherapy every other week. Rosa was first diagnosed four years ago with breast cancer. After her treatment she went into remission only to have the cancer return in her bones in 2006.

Rosa stays very emotionally positive about her condition but sometimes, physically, has a hard time getting around. This is why we have a group of volunteers that clean Rosa's house twice a month.

Nancy is just finishing her treatment and wishes so much that she had found us sooner. She has 3 children at home and after a rough treatment process is thinking about getting to work and back on track. We will be scheduling a “clean out” party at her home to help get her off to a healthy happy start.

Also she has offered to speak for us at the Arizona Cancer Coalition on the benefits of Singleton Moms and how all moms need to be offered our services at the beginning of diagnoses.
