What We Do
At Singleton Moms, we aim to both inspire and change the lives of those who receive our services and those who give support. Singleton Moms is a fiscally responsible organization that utilizes volunteers to carry out this ideal; a group of wonderful people who are excited and proud to be associated with Singleton Moms and hold true to our vision. In that spirit, we will always foster personal one-on-one relationships between the families receiving assistance and those people kind enough to provide those services.
Mothers who apply for assistance from Singleton Moms complete a profile to determine which service(s) would be best for them. They are then assigned a Client Care Coordinator who stays in close contact while they are ‘on service’ so we can evaluate the help they are receiving and make adjustments as necessary.
Some of the assistance programs available through Singleton Moms include Michelle’s Kitchen, where volunteers help prepare healthy, nutritious meals for our families; Michelle’s Pockets is our financial assistance programme; Michelle’s Clean-up Crew pools a group of volunteers who ‘blitz’ clean a family’s home; Michelle’s Phonebook is a listing of businesses and professional services that people are able to offer our Moms for free, or at deeply discounted rates.
This list is not exhaustive and we make every attempt to assist our Moms in ways not listed here, such as transportation or grocery shopping. We’re very grateful to the volunteers we have, but we always need more! The more we have, the more Moms we can help – we currently have 15 Moms on our waiting list, so if you’d like to become a volunteer, please join Michelle’s Circle and help out in any way you can.

Singleton Moms estimates there may be 5,000 single mothers in the Phoenix metropolitan area each year that undergo treatment for cancer, but there is no data to back this.
