Care Coordinator and Care Team

Care Coordinator with Mom and Care Team MemberWhile it is our goal to help as many parents that qualify as possible, as a small locally-based non-profit organization, our resources are solely based on community support. We rely on our screened volunteers to support our families, ensuring that each family is taken care of on an individual basis and allowing us to address individual family needs.

One volunteer Care Coordinator is assigned to each family to help with cleanings, ordering meals, and to check in with the family on a weekly basis and communicate with our Director of Care and staff on a regular basis. Care Coordinators are our most valued volunteer positions, and receive ongoing education and training.

Our Care Team is made up of volunteers that support the Care Coordinators with specific tasks, such as providing additional help when cleaning the family's home.

Our Main Programs

Business donating checkWe provide financial assistance in the amount of $300 a month towards one approved bill through the period of chemotherapy, radiation, or cancer related surgery. This financial assistance lasts for the duration of the treatment, up to a maximum of 9 months.

Our Parents are often physically unable to work while receiving treatment; this can create financial hardship which in turn causes chronic stress. Financial assistance from Singleton Moms helps to alleviate some of that stress, allowing them to focus on their children and their recovery. It is our goal to keep the household running as normally as possible. Payments can be made toward bills such as:

  • Rent/Mortgage
  • Utility
  • Car payment
  • Insurance

Other Programs & Services

Bare NecessitiesEvery other month Singleton Moms hosts a Bare Necessities Drive at our office. We all know how expensive a trip to Wal-Mart or Target can be when you are trying to replenish household necessities. Through the help of generous community donors, the Bare Necessities program allows Singleton Parents to come by the Singleton Moms office and pick up much needed household necessities such as laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, toothbrushes, etc.

The Bare Necessities program helps to reduce the financial burden that is associated with restocking practical household supplies.
