Moms Talk

Singleton ParentsSingleton Moms is very pleased to say that we have helped over 100 families since we started in 2006.  Here are just a few of the kind words that we have received from some of our moms about the services that Singleton Moms provides.

We continue to stay in contact with the majority of our moms, and some of them are even volunteering for us now!

"When I was diagnosed with cancer, I truly didn't know what to expect, but knew it wouldn't be easy. When I was introduced to Singleton Moms, I felt some relief. Now that I'm hopefully at the end of treatment, I know I couldn't have made it through all this without the incredible support I have received. It is so amazing knowing that complete strangers have been there for me, for 8 months now, and it is all because of Singleton Moms."

"I am a single mother with 2 young children and when I was re-diagnosed with cancer in 2008 I was fortunate to be connected with the Singleton Moms organization.  They have helped in so many ways to get the everyday issues taken care of that are so often overlooked.  You can have the best medical insurance plan there is, but that isn't going to help make meals for you or pay your electric bill or gas for your vehicle.  This is where Singleton Moms steps in and helps bridge those everyday items.  They have helped me move furniture from my storage into my home, they have brought meals for us and have been an awesome support for me.  I have been connected with other single mothers who are going through this and we can all help each other even if it is just listening.  Even though I have family to call, I still felt an alone feeling in this and it is nice to have this group of single mothers that know truly what I am feeling.  Jody and Andy have began a great organization here (which, unfortunately began due to a death of a mother who wasn't able to win her cancer fight) and I know a lot of us want to help it grow as we recover and win our fight.  There are so many single mothers hit with cancer who need the financial help each month to just handle those everyday necessities."

Thank you so much

“Words cannot express the gratitude Charles and I feel.  I sleep better at night knowing you are around.  Andy and Jody you are amazing.  Good friends are hard to come by!  Thanks to all of you, we love you.”

"I would like to express my deepest appreciation for Singleton Moms. I am a single mother who has been fighting breast cancer for 6 years.

The cancer has metastasized to my spinal column and surrounding bones. I needed to move from Scottsdale back to Houston. Once there, I would have the family support that I needed for my 12 year old son, Michael, and myself.  My daughter and her husband will be taking care of Michael if something were to happen to me. It was very important for me to move closer so that the transition for him, in that case, would be as smooth as possible. Singleton Moms came to my rescue, they not only helped me by loading the u-haul for us, but, they also got me an incredible discount with u-haul. And, if that wasn’t enough, they came in and helped me clean my condo in order for me to get my deposit back.  1 month prior, I had major back surgery to rebuild my spine, which, had collapsed from a tumor. Therefore, I was unable to bend, lift or really do anything to help them. But, they did it all for us and kept smiles on their faces even though they were working so hard.

You will always have a special place in my heart for your unconditional caring of others and giving us your time and energy without thinking about yourselves.  You are all true angels and I wish there was a way I could pay each and every one of you back for what you did for me and my son.  God Bless each and every one of you. I do not know what we would have done without all of you at Singleton Moms. Thank you from the deepest depths of my heart."

"I cannot adequately express how thankful I am to Singleton Moms for their help! They have been the only people able to offer me any assistance and have been so kind to me. I even contacted senators and congressmen who tried to help, but they, too, could only find this one INCREDIBLE group who were willing to help my family and me. They truly are one of the miracles that I have learned to look for, and a gift from God for me."
With kindness & gratitude

"I will never be able to thank Singleton Moms enough for all you have done for me and my boys. I'm grateful that our relationship has grown and that I'm not just a mom you've helped but a friend."

“It’s hard to put into words how supportive and compassionate Singleton Moms have been at the most difficult time of my life. They assisted me financially, with meals, house cleaning and most of all the listened when I just needed to talk. I have no family in the state and they have been the best substitute family I could have every wished for. I feel truly blessed. Thank you Singleton Moms!”

"If it wasn't for Singleton Moms I don't know where I would be. I appreciate all their help, love, and care. Thank you so much SINGLETON MOMS for all your support and all that you do."

I would like to thank Singleton Moms for everything you have done for me. When everything was going bad and there was no one around to help me.  I found you. You have helped me in so many ways physically, mentally, and financially.  You've giving me hope for a new start. You were there with me in every step throughout my surgery and you are still here with your support while I go through radiation. Thank you for everything and God bless you.

"I appreciate everything Singleton Moms has done for me. You guys have helped me out with my bills while going through my radiation. I am just so happy that there are organizations out there that help people. I thank you so much"

“I am grateful to Singleton Moms, because of their financial support each month, I am able to take time off of work with each treatment without having the financial stress of doing so. It has allowed me the peace of mind I need to get through this already difficult time.”

"Without the help of your organization, I would not have not dealt with my condition well.  My family resides in California, and it is just me and my two boys. Thank you so much for everything"
