Elizabeth - Care Coordinator

Mom Teresa’s volunteer Care Coordinator, Elizabeth, says:
I began volunteering as a Care Coordinator in March 2012. However, I was introduced to Singleton Moms a few years ago and loved the mission and service to single parents going through cancer treatment. A friend told me about the opportunity to be a Care Coordinator and I thought this was a great way to get involved and get to help out one on one. The timing was perfect for me because my husband and I are going through the “empty nest syndrome” and I thought the best way to adjust and utilize my free time was through volunteerism.
Singleton Moms is about meeting the most practical needs of the parent. Meals, house cleaning, and the Bare Necessities are the core of the service. In other organizations you are not always able to meet the daily needs of a family, and this is what makes Singleton Moms special. In addition, the personal relationships that are created between the Singleton Moms is pretty incredible. There is a great support system that would not be there if it were not for Singleton Moms.
Singleton Moms is a partnership of giving. What I give in terms of my time, assistance and care the Singleton Mom gives much more to me. In just our two visits, Teresa has given me an understanding of her experience, she has given me inspiration, and already she has openly given me friendship. I am inspired by Teresa's statement, "you either live or die and I choose to live." So you can just refer to us as Team LIVE! Thanks Teresa for letting me into your life. I plan to be a part of it for many years to come.
Elizabeth has worked for the City of Phoenix for over 2 years, but was a Housing Administrator previously for 8 years for a non-profit company. She was recently asked to join the Herberger Advisory Council for the Salvation Army, where she has served in various capacities for over 23 years. She has also volunteered with efforts related to homelessness with the Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness. When she isn't busy serving and working, she enjoys spending time with her family. We are very honored and excited to welcome Elizabeth to the Singleton Moms team!
